Those questions are only natural with Philip Rivers turning 37 this upcoming season.

For the second week in a row, Philip Rivers is nominated for FedEx’s Air Player of the Week.

Even in a frustrating 21-13 loss at the hands of Tom Brady and the Patriots, Rivers came away encouraged by what the team can accomplish over the second half of the season. As with every season that doesn’t end in a postseason berth, Rivers says the hurt doesn’t subside until after the Super Bowl.

In the win over the Raiders, Rivers completed 28 of 37 attempts (75.6-percent) for 387 yards and three scores. The three touchdowns moved his career total to 342, which tied Fran Tarkenton for sixth all-time. Additionally, Rivers became only the ninth player in NFL history to throw for 50,000 passing yards when he connected with Keenan Allen on an 11-yard gain early in the first quarter.

Rivers explained how there is a whole different feeling about the talent on the team heading into this last offseason compared to the past two seasons, and believes the rest of the NFL will take note as well. Perhaps no one was more emphatic than NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

“This is the time to do it,” he said. “I really do think that. Now, you like to do it when you’re picking in the top 10 or five, but to me this would be the time. You don’t need a quarterback to come in and play right away. Rivers is a pro. This guy (who comes in) will get to watch up him up close, and there’s not going to be a quarterback controversy. Now, the Chargers have done the quarterback work over the past few years with workouts, and I expect them to do that this year. So yeah, to me this is perfect timing to get the Los Angeles Chargers jerseys sale guy for the future because you don’t have to play him right away.”

It’s the second time he won the award this season as he was also bestowed with the honor following Week 12’s Thanksgiving win over the Dallas Cowboys. He joins Tom Brady as the only players to win the award multiple times this season.

However, per usual, no one was able to articulate the raw emotion of the season more than Philip Rivers, even if he was wrestling with his own feelings.

As with every season that doesn’t end in a postseason berth, Rivers says the hurt doesn’t subside until after the Super Bowl. His Week 13 Pro Bowl-caliber performance against the Cleveland Browns earned him the nod. Rivers faces stiff competition in Kansas City Chiefs’ Alex Smith and Josh McCown of the New York Jets.

“Well, I don’t know why I’m standing up here like we lost the game; we won the game,” he said. “I thought the guys finished. They played hard. These last 12 weeks we won nine out of 12. I think that showed what type of team we are after starting out 0-4. Disappointing we didn’t make it to the postseason, but we couldn’t control any of that. All we could control is what we did today with the Oakland Raiders. I was proud of the way they came out and fought, and the way they played.”

“I couldn’t participate in the Senior Bowl because I wasn’t able to play,” he said after saying he met with the Bolts. “But I still went down and kind of put my best foot forward with the interview process. So I think that kind of prepared me a little bit for this little more intense, 15-minute formal meetings in the evenings. It’s been good. I feel comfortable explaining myself, articulating myself to evaluators, to coaches. That’s what I’ve done thus far and that’s what I’ll continue to do.”

Philip Rivers has played a lot of ball over his 14 years in the NFL.

Los Angeles’ defense held Dallas to 84 yards of offense in the first half, and the Chargers took a 3-0 lead into halftime. But Rivers was just starting to heat up.

In the Pro Bowl performance, Rivers threw for 434 yards and was 27-for-33 passing with three touchdowns. It marked the second time in his career that he threw for over 400 yards with three TDs and no interceptions. He finished the game with a 149.1 rating and an 81.8 completion percentage. The 149.1 rating is the second-best by a QB this season, and the third-best rating of Rivers’ career.

Everyone has anxiously awaited an update on Philip Rivers’ status over the past 48 hours since Head Coach Anthony Lynn announced number 17 is in the concussion protocol after self-reporting symptoms on Monday.

Citing teams in recent seasons, Rivers noted the ones who have done damage in the playoffs are those who clinch their spot with a hot streak down the stretch. Still, as Rivers notes, the rookie brings something different to the table that will complement the current stable of wideouts.

The Los Angeles Chargers announced on Friday that QB Philip Rivers has been cleared to play this weekend vs. the Buffalo Bills by an independent neurological consultant. Philip Rivers has been around the league long enough to know what the speculation is on the outside considering this situation.

Rivers had been in the concussion protocol since Monday when he self-reported concussion symptoms following the Week 10 date in Jacksonville. He practiced on a limited basis Wednesday before participating in full on Thursday and Friday.

Each Saturday morning, Philip Rivers receives the final script for the next day’s game. Sure, the team maintains some level of flexibility to make tweaks, but number 17 enters kickoff fully aware of how the Bolts plan to attack on Chargers jerseys on sale offense. Williams has been a limited participant over the past few weeks, but it didn’t take long for Philip Rivers to see why the Bolts took him seventh overall.

By completing 15 of his 23 passes in the first half for 256 yards and two touchdowns, Rivers eclipsed 200 yards for the third-straight game in the first half. It’s the first time he’s ever done that in his career. Not only that, his 256 yards in the first half were the second-most of his career. Finally, Rivers posted his fourth-straight game with a rating over 100.

After all, Rivers and Manning will forever be intertwined. Not only are they members of the same draft class, but they were famously traded for one another in one of the most notable draft day trades of all time.

“We know that,” Rivers continued. “And we know how quickly that can go the other way. We’ve by no means made it. We have four tough football games ahead of us starting this week.” However, Rivers believes he’s better equipped to handle that adversity than had he faced it earlier in his career. Experience has also taught him to remain optimistic.

As the veteran leader of the team, Rivers knows it’s his duty to convey that optimism inside the locker room. The majority of players were not part of those past runs, so letting them know 0-2 is only the beginning of the 2017 campaign and not the end is paramount.

Between this award and the AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor bestowed upon him on Wednesday, it’s clear Rivers put up a Pro Bowl-worthy performance against Dallas. Click here to vote Rivers for the Pro Bowl. Rivers has a ton of respect for Eli as a person and quarterback, and didn’t mince words when asked for his reaction. But on Thanksgiving Day, quarterback Philip Rivers gave Chargers fans yet another reason to be thankful.

Junior Seau, a certain Hall of Famer, played 20 years in the NFL.

First-year candidate Junior Seau made 12 Pro Bowls and was the 1992 defensive player of the year.

The announcement, coming on the eve of the 2014 season, is a serious blow to the NFL’s efforts to put the concussion issue to rest. It raises the specter of continuing litigation that would pit the NFL against the family of one of its most popular players. Seau, a certain Hall of Famer, played 20 years in the NFL.

Two of the greatest figures in San Diego Chargers history were announced as two of 26 Modern-Era Semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this week. Late linebacker Junior Seau made the cut in his first year of eligibility while former Head Coach Don Coryell has been a semifinalist for the last five years.

The San Diego Chargers will host their annual local pro day on Thursday for prospects who attended colleges or high schools in and around America’s Finest City.

The San Diego Chargers will host a Celebration of Life in honor of Chargers linebacker and San Diego community icon Junior Seau on Friday, May 11 at 6:30 pm at Qualcomm Stadium.

Seau, who is in his first year of eligibility for the Hall of Fame, is one of the 15 modern-era finalists who will be considered by the Hall’s Board of Selectors on Saturday. Of the 15 a maximum of five can be enshrined in the Class of ’15.

“He was a phenomenal player, teammate, friend,” Brady said. “His attitude was infectious. He brought enthusiasm every day to practice. He showed up in the room and he’d be the first person there at six in the morning on the treadmill running, going into his 18th year in the league. He had a love for life and he’s missed by all of his family and friends, and certainly by me and the guys that had a chance to be around him. He was a special person.”

Seau, who committed suicide in 2012, played two decades with three teams and made 12 Pro Bowls. He was the defensive player of the year in 1992. Warner guided St. Louis to its only Super Bowl victory after the 1999 season and led the Rams to the title game two years later. He helped Arizona get to its only Super Bowl after the 2008 season. He won league MVP honors in 1999 and 2001.

While the linebackers are determined to carry on Seau’s legacy, Head Coach Mike McCoy offered a reminder on how there will never be another like number 55. Still, the head coach is proud to have players on his team that are not only knowledgeable about the game, but try to emulate and look up to those who played the game the right way.

“The Seau family never intended to use the Hall of Fame as a platform to discuss the serious mental-health issues facing the NFL today which are most appropriately addressed in a legal forum,” Donohue said. “The Seau family looks forward to celebrating Junior’s extraordinary accomplishments at the Hall of Fame.”

Seau also led the Chargers to the team’s only Super Bowl appearance after the 1994 season. Strauss said the Seaus concluded that the deal does not address several concerns, including adequate compensation for the descendants of the former players. Seau’s lawyers filed a previous motion objecting to the first proposed settlement, and Strauss said the revised deal did nothing to address those issues.

Attaochu’s blocked punt was something truly special

The second year cornerback made his presence felt with his team-high third interception of the season against the toughest quarterback to pick off. Shortly after Alex Smith extended his consecutive pass streak without throwing an INT to 312 in a row, the quarterback aimed deep looking for Jeremy Maclin. Verrett stayed stride for stride with the speedster, maintaining position as he dove to come up with the incredible pick at the two-yard line.

As Te’o also noted, all that matters at the end of the day is that the Chargers came up on the short end of a 10-3 decision. Nonetheless, one of the leaders of the defense is encouraged over the unit’s bright futurex, and is eager to keep growing together as one.

The team’s first-round draft selection, cornerback Jason Verrett had a standout game with solid man-to-man coverage most of the night. He finished the night with four total tackles and one pass defensed. While Verrett enjoyed his first regular-season NFL game, the loss left the cornerback feeling empty.

Melvin Ingram and Jeremiah Attaochu combined for 16.5 sacks last season, but they failed to record one in the San Diego Chargers’ first exhibition last week against Tennessee.

“I think it was pretty good, I did what my coaches asked me to do and I just took advantage of the opportunities I had today,” he said. “My mindset going into the game was play my role and whenever the opportunity came, just do what I had to do.”

Attaochu’s blocked punt was something truly special. His effort was just enough to knock the ball out at the Arizona 17-yard line setting his team up with great field position.

Jerry is also a very active participant in Chargers community efforts. Earlier this year, he served as a spokesman for a PSA campaign with the San Diego Domestic Violence Council encouraging healthy relationships in teenage couples. Jerry participated in the Chargers 10th annual Join the Team Adoption Calendar with San Diego County Foster and Adoptive Resource Services, featuring children looking for their “forever family.” He has participated in numerous PLAY 60 themed events and camps as well as the team’s annual surprise Bike Distribution. He’s presented grant checks for multiple Chargers Champions projects and has never missed a chance to support the Chargers annual Blood Drive, perhaps because he knows only too well the need for blood that so many SCD patients have throughout their life.

Get to know the San Diego Chargers even better throughout the 2016 offseason with 16 things you never knew about your favorite players.

Attaochu says he’s seen improvement in his ability to pick up the Bolts’ defense from rookie minicamp through OTAs and now training camp. Still, he knows he needs some time before the defense becomes a cerebral concept. But if his evolution as a player thus far is indicative of his teammates’ help, he’s well on his way toward accomplishing that feat.

In order to do that, Attaochu has to find a way to stay on the field.

Attaochu, 24, suffered a broken right foot that forced him to the injured reserve in November, missing the final five games of the 2016 season. Attaochu also missed three games earlier last year due to an ankle sprain.

He finished the year fifth on the team in total tackles, while ranking second in sacks, tackles for loss and quarterback hits. After being slowed by a nagging hamstring during his rookie season in 2014, Attaochu bounced back in 2015 to play in 15 games and start 12. He and fellow outside linebacker Melvin Ingram formed a potent 1-2 punch as they combined for more than half (16.5) of the Chargers’ 32 sacks on the season.

Joining the Bolts in 2015 is Denzel Perryman out of Miami

cheap chargers football jersey

The pair played for two years together at the University of Miami. With a playing relationship built on brotherhood, Perryman said he could always rely on the safety to shore up the defense. That’s something Perryman believes will translate to the Chargers.

The L.A. Marathon has been a staple in the City of Angels since 1986. On Sunday, the Chargers assembled a 13-person relay team for the race which included General Manager Tom Telesco, linebacker Denzel Perryman, Chargers Sr. Director of Player Engagement Arthur Hightower, Charger Girls, Chargers super fans and yours truly.

No matter if you deem the fourth quarter interception or his 4th-and-1 run stuff as the biggest moment of the week in the 33-30 overtime win against the Falcons, one thing for certain is that Denzel Perryman is a playmaker.

As an NFL rookie, acclimating to a new city, playbook and team can be daunting. Nevertheless, some of the strongest friendships are forged between newcomers and veterans who act as their mentors. Nike Chargers #55 Junior Seau Green Men's Stitched NFL Limited Salute To Service Tank Top Jersey
Entering his second NFL season, inside linebacker Denzel Perryman knows what being a rookie is like, which is why he is doing all he can to help those walking in the same footsteps he did last season.

“Big time players make big time plays in big time games and I can’t say enough about him.”
That praise from Joey Bosa is all one needs to know about Denzel Perryman’s performance in the team’s 33-30 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons.
Although suffering from a lingering shoulder injury, Perryman played through the pain and gave Sunday’s game his all.

With four days of camp and two days in pads under his belt, training camp is becoming a smoother ride for inside linebacker Denzel Perryman.
Having shown some flashes in shorts, Sunday’s second padded practice proved beneficial for the rookie.

For the third straight year, the Chargers took a linebacker in the second round of the NFL Draft. Joining the Bolts in 2015 is Denzel Perryman out of Miami.

“He’s an explosive, extremely instinctive inside linebacker,” said General Manager Tom Telesco. “He plays with a lot of energy. As far as we’re concerned, and obviously it’s just one team’s opinion, as far as inside linebackers go, he has the best instincts in the draft, the best tackling, and he is the most explosive. When he hits people, they go backwards. He’s got some coverage skills too which is going to help him in this league. We’re really excited about getting him in here.”

The 6-foot, 242-pound 2014 All-ACC First Team linebacker started all 13 games last season for the Hurricanes notching 110 total tackles and two sacks. In his four-year career at Miami, he recorded 351 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss, four and a half sacks and two interceptions.

“I’ve worked tremendously hard to try to get this opportunity,” Mager said. “Coming to Texas St. was pretty crazy because when I first got there, the head coach told me, ‘If you thought you were going to the NFL, you wouldn’t have come to Texas St.’ I thought he was pretty wrong about that and I wanted to prove him wrong when he said that.”

Mager brings his defensive back skills and also experience on special teams to the Los Angeles Chargers jersey china, but said he’s happy to contribute in any way he can.
“I’m really just here to do my best and give my team the best shot to win. I’ll do whatever they want me to do.”

The Chargers focused on defense on day two of the 2015 NFL Draft, and in the third round selected cornerback Craig Mager out of Texas St. Mager, a four-year starter for the Bobcats, never missed a game in his collegiate career and General Manager Tom Telesco said that along with other metrics were determining factors in drafting him.

Defensive back Desmond King out of Iowa in the fifth

After a double dose of offensive linemen on day two of the NFL Draft, the Bolts got a jolt of new talent in the secondary on Saturday.

After picking up a trio of offensive players over the first three rounds, the Los Angeles Chargers jersey authentic kicked off day three of the draft by bolstering the defensive side of the ball.
With the 113th overall pick, the Bolts selected Miami safety Rayshawn Jenkins.

Immediately after Rayshawn Jenkins got the call he was going to be a Los Angeles Charger, his phone buzzed from a very special person.

“It was great for us to get them,” Verrett said. “When we drafted Rayshawn Jenkins from Miami, I texted Denzel (Perryman) quick and asked what he thought about him. Denzel said he was a dog, so it was nice to get that addition there and add more depth. With Desmond King from Iowa, I actually knew of him because he won the Jim Thorpe Award in 2015. I thought that was a great pick as a guy who can come in and help us out in that nickel position.”

Shortly after the Chargers took him in the fourth round, safety Rayshawn Jenkins called Chargers.com to give hMax Tuerkis first interview as a member of the Bolts.

“I knew that if anything got by me, Rayshawn would be back there to clean it up. If it was a deep ball, you better get ready for the show. The Chargers are getting another hitter and another ball-hawk. He’s another Miami guy, I’ll put it that way. Just watch out.”
Since Perryman has been in the league, he said the pair has kept in touch. Mainly, the communication picked up as of late when Perryman knew Jenkins declared for the draft. At the time, number 52 shared some sage advice with the incoming rookie.

In San Diego, six women a day are told they have breast cancer and for some Chargers, they’ve experienced the disease first-hand.
Safety Jahleel Addae, free safety Eric Weddle and wide receiver Jacoby Jones’ lives have all been personally impacted by breast cancer. Although their loved ones are all in remission, they said seeing those closest to them go through such an excruciating period in their lives was hard.

“You get to enjoy Christmas with your family which will be awesome, but right now the focus is just to play this game at a high level and make sure we get a victory because that will make the holiday even better,” Floyd said.
“It’s better when you win so hopefully we can be on the right side of it,” Eric Weddle added. “It’ll be nice to be home for Christmas because we haven’t had that many times. It’s nice to get the weekend off and get to spend time with our kids, have some fun there and get away from football.”

We talked with Chargers free safety Eric Weddle to find out what he listens to before each game. Music is a big part of Weddle’s pregame ritual and he finds his music is what really gets him focused and in the zone.

Half of the Final Four is now set as Branden Oliver’s 50-yard catch and run easily defeated Eric Weddle’s huge hit to set up a battle against Antonio Gates’ one-handed hat-trick against the Seattle Seahawks.

Now, a pair of pivotal defensive plays face off for the right to reach the semifinals. So which will it be; the second-seeded Jason Verrett game winning interception in Oakland or the seventh-seeded Andrew Gachkar scoop and score vs. the Rams?

One year later, Max Tuerk looks to follow in their footsteps. His goal following what amounted to a red-shirt rookie year is to lock down a starting center or guard position when the Bolts kick off the season on Monday Night Football in Denver.

Chargers joined Dan Feeney in the third round of the NFL draft in 2017

The Los Angeles Chargers couldn’t believe Forrest Lamp was still on the board last night when the first round came to an end.

After sweating out five picks before they were on the clock, the Bolts couldn’t get on the phone fast enough to select the Western Kentucky offensive lineman with the 38th overall pick. Stay tuned for more about Lamp throughout the night, including an exclusive first interview with the newest Charger, initial reaction from General Manager Tom Telesco and Head Coach Anthony Lynn, film breakdown and more.

It’s easy to see why Forrest Lamp is one of the hottest names in scouting circles leading up to the NFL Draft. The offensive lineman possesses the traits teams covet at the position, namely toughness, athleticism and power. Lamp also plays with a nasty mean streak for an added edge, and gives the opposition fits once he gets his hands locked in. As a result, many top pundits compare him to Dallas Cowboys’ Pro Bowler Zach Martin.

A four-year starter and two-time team captain with the Hilltoppers, some may question the caliber of his opponents during his college career. To that, draft experts say simply put on his tape from last year against Alabama, where he more than held his own against some of the nation’s top edge rushers. While Lamp played tackle in college, where he was a two-time first-team Conference USA pick and third-team All-American, most expect him to kick inside at the next level.

Those are traits that aren’t always easy to come across. However, the Chargers just added a pair who boast those qualities in droves.

The Bolts nabbed a pair of physical offensive linemen on the second day of the draft, selecting Western Kentucky’s Forrest Lamp in the second round and Indiana’s Dan Feeney in the third. Slauson, for one, couldn’t be happier with the decisions.
“I think they were both great picks. From everything I hear, both guys are smart and tough. I’m really excited about the opportunity of having them mix it up in there with us.”

When the Los Angeles Chargers  jersey cheap added Dan Feeney in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, they bolstered their offensive line with a smart, tough and nasty guard out of Indiana.
Rewind to 14 years ago and a Hoosier with gritty, similar qualities made the Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent: Kris Dielman.
Like all Chargers fan, Feeney knows who Dielman is and is ecstatic about following in his highly decorated footsteps.

He also knows he’ll have to play a significant role in getting the pair of rookies up to speed. However, he’s eager to get started right away, seeing the value they can bring from day one as he looks to change the culture up front.

A road grader in the run game, Feeney helped future NFL stars Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard achieve success while at Indiana. His quickness off the blocks also helps him succeed in pass protection.

A two-time team captain and four-year starter for the Hoosiers, Feeney won accolades each year in Bloomington. After being named a third-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten pick purely as a guard his junior year, he saw time at right tackle in 2016. His play earned him first-team All-American honors and second straight selection to the All-Big Ten team.

There may not be a more clutch receiver in this year’s draft than Mike Williams

authentic chargers jerseys

A week after the Chargers took Mike Williams seventh-overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, the wide receiver was back at his old stomping grounds. Check out Williams putting in work, especially those one-handed catches.

On Tuesday, Head Coach Anthony Lynn hopped on The Jim Rome Show. Lynn discussed his first NFL Draft, his vision for Mike Williams and the future of Philip Rivers.

Upon arriving in Los Angeles, first-round draft pick Mike Williams jersey went on a whirlwind tour of the City of Angels.

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours for Mike Williams. Since the Chargers selected him seventhoverall Thursday night, the wide receiver caught a plane early Friday morning to head to his new home in Los Angeles. After working up an appetite, the wide receiver made a pit stop at Father’s Office in Culver City on Friday. With one burger on the menu, Father’s Office makes sure it’s a showstopper.

Nevertheless, Williams is truly living in the moment. He admitted the surreal feeling of being drafted in the NFL still hasn’t left since Commissioner Roger Goodell read his name in Philadelphia.

“It’s still kind of a dream come true,” Williams said. “It’s everything I’ve dreamed of; with my mom last night and the rest of my family, it felt like a dream come true. Just for everybody to come there who helped me get to this moment, my family (and) my friends. Just to celebrate with those guys was fun.”

Williams said he was able to get in quality time with his family and friends before coming to the west coast. While he was the second receiver taken in this year’s draft, his pre-draft prognostication was pretty spot on.

There may not be a more clutch receiver in this year’s draft than Mike Williams.
The Clemson product has a knack for coming through when his team needs him most, never more so than in last year’s National Championship game. Daniel Francis Fouts is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League. Fouts played his entire professional career with the San Diego Chargers from 1973 through 1987.

The Dielman seminar resonated with Feeney. So much so that he can recall the lessons of the meeting like it happened yesterday. Being that Feeney is about to embark on his new career in the NFL, Dielman’s sage advice couldn’t mean more.
“He just said that the NFL is different from college. It’s a business, but it’s fair. You have to do your job and be a badass at your job. After the NFL, you have to get a financial manager to manage your money and just be smart with it. You can’t blow it away on stupid stuff. You just have to be a pro.”

If anyone knows what it means to be a pro, it’s Dielman. Through his nine-year career with the Bolts, he was a four-time Pro Bowler and earned second-team All-Pro honors in the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Feeney acknowledged knowing what the former Charger and Hoosier accomplished is beyond incredible, but ultimately, it fuels his fire to pave his own path.
“It motivated me a whole lot. Just to see a guy who put in the work and has had the heartache. He got hurt, came back and did everything he could do. It’s just so motivating for me to see him and hear about his career. Going to the Chargers just like Dielman is a huge honor for Indiana, and especially for myself.”

When he’s not rushing the passer on Sundays or perfecting his skills at practice, Melvin Ingram can be found working on another one of his favorite crafts: music.
The outside linebacker is a part of YPC, or Young Paper Chasers Records, and is releasing his first full-length mixtape, “From Nothing to Something” on Friday. The 10-track album features Ingram rapping to lyrics he wrote.

The Bolts made a bevy of transactions Saturday, adding Melvin Ingram and Adrian Phillips to the active roster, placing Jason Verrett on Reserve-Injured with a shoulder injury and releasing Cordarro Law.
Ingram had been on the “Reserve- Injured, Designated to Return” since Sept. 20 with a hip injury. He had two standout games to start the season prior to going down. The outside linebacker tied for a team high with three quarterback pressures in Week 1 at Arizona, and followed that up with an even bigger impact in a Week 2 victory over the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. Ingram once again led the defense with three quarterback pressures, and recorded a nine-yard sack with a forced fumble on 2nd-and-10 in the second quarter. Earlier in the game he notched a three-yard tackle for loss to force a punt.

With the 2017 NFL schedule out of the bag, we are now that much closer to the 2017 season.

While it’s easy to look at the schedule and plot the primetime games, divisional matchups and when the bye falls, we thought we’d tip you off to some little known facts about the Los Angeles Chargers’ 2017 Schedule.

“That was a huge relief,” he said. “You see the way it was (when he went down). I made too many trips out to the field yesterday, and really all year long. You don’t want to see anybody get carted off. It’s tough… We will take it day-to-day. We will see where he is. I talked to him this morning and he is going to work hard to get back out there as soon as he can.” Mike Lee is strengthening the exercise.

Number 28 is only three shy of 1,000 rushing yards for the season. While reaching that milestone is a significant accomplishment, McCoy said the Bolts won’t risk Gordon’s long-term health simply the reach that mark.

Williams knows he will have added responsibility, and the second-year receiver had a pair of third down catches for 71 yards against the Chiefs. Still, rather than talk about his increased role, he focused on his fallen teammate.

“It’s been going well,” added guard Donavon Clark. “Especially with the guys coming in to talk to us whether they are veterans who have played the game or guys who have done other things in their lives. Along with guest speakers, the league-mandated program discussed important off-field topics and potential pitfalls that may arise in the NFL. For the first time ever, the program was held at Chargers Park and Los Angeles Chargers jersey china was inclusive for both drafted and undrafted rookies, which NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent said was integral for building camaraderie.

The Bolts bolstered their o-line by selecting two offensive linemen in the 2016 NFL Draft. One of them was seventh round pick Donavon Clark. The guard from Michigan State took to the field on Friday for Rookie Mini Camp and was overall pleased with how the day went.

“It was great,” Clark said. “It was good just putting on that helmet again and running out there with all the guys. It was a great start to rookie minicamp so the goal is to keep pushing forward. As an offensive line, we can’t really be individuals because if one guy misses his block, the play could be over. (So) far, the communication has been great. (Offensive Line) Coach (Jeff) Davidson is a heck of a coach so it makes me do better.”

Although T.J. announced at the beginning of the year that he was declaring for the 2017 NFL Draft, the concept of having three brothers play in the league hadn’t fully donned on Derek Watt until the Super Bowl.

Fullback Derek Watt looks back on what worked against the Broncos, what it’s like playing with Philip Rivers and previews this weekend’s game against the Titans after practice on Wednesday.

The more J.J. talks, the clearer it becomes he’s a fan of Derek’s game not because of his name on the back of the jersey, but for how he performs on the field.Nike Chargers #86 Hunter Henry Electric Blue Men's Stitched NFL Limited Rush Jersey

Sunday’s Week 12 match against the Houston Texan is a game fullback Derek Watt circled on his calendar the moment he was drafted. After all, it would provide a rare chance to face off against his older brother, J.J..

Unfortunately, Houston’s star defensive end won’t suit up as he is out for the year with a back injury. While he’ll miss the game, the elder Watt couldn’t be prouder of how Derek has performed over his first 10 games as he’s kept a close eye on his younger brother.

While you may be aware Josh Lambo ranks sixth on the franchise’s all-time list with 52 career field goals.

While you may be know fullback Derek Watt helped pave the way for Melvin Gordon’s stellar 2016 season, here are five fun facts about number 34.

“We just took a minute. Our whole family was there, and we just kind of appreciated that our hard work has paid off. In a short period of time here, that dream will come true for all three of us. It’s a pretty cool feeling, that’s for sure.”

“We had a chances to stop them, like on that fourth down, it was really close and they got it by half a yard,” said Casey Hayward. “But it’s a game of inches and they got it. (But) this was in all three phases. It wasn’t just on one phase; we have to find a way in all three phases to win. If we can get a big return on special teams, we can score on offense and get turnovers on defense.”

The second defensive score on the day came in the fourth quarter. Facing a crucial 3rd-and-6 from their own 29, Marcus Mariota lobbed a pass in the direction of Kendall Wright. However, Brandon Flowers cut in front of the receiver to pick off the ball and run it back 33 yards for the touchdown.

“He’s a veteran guy so we kind of lean on him when it comes to playing,” said Casey Hayward, who is tied for a league-leading five interceptions. “He started out the game with some key tackles and when he plays like that, the game comes easy for him.”

Casey Hayward finished his first season with the Los Angeles Chargers jersey authentic after joining them in free agency last spring. The cornerback had positive things about his former coach despite only knowing him for one year.

Casey Hayward’s past two weeks showcase how he has evolved into a shutdown corner.

“He was always a great guy. I always talked to him on and off the field. He was a really good guy and I wish him the best of luck. Hopefully he can get back into this league quickly because he’s a really good coach.”

For any free agent, it can be hard to come into a new team and make an immediate impact. But after signing a three-year contract in March, Casey Hayward made a name for himself as a Charger on Sunday.

In the team’s 38-14 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the cornerback had two picks on the day. The pair of interceptions were the first by a Charger in a half since 2011 and were two of three total turnovers in the win.

Casey Hayward has been a San Diego Charger since March, but the cornerback said putting the pads on for the third day of training camp made the experience all the more genuine.
